Hot Fun In The Summertime! New Record?

No trouble working up a sweat Sunday. Thousands of active folks walked, ran, biked, scootered, bladed, hula hooped, pole vaulted, square danced, recess rocked, and worked up a sweat and had a lot of fun!

I think we set a new record for Lemonade Slushes from our friends at Atomic Coffee at Streets Alive Sunday.

Thanks to Taylor and Alex for bringing their cool Bcycle Bike Share system to Streets Alive Sunday. They brought 5 bikes and their solar station so folks could see how it works and take one of the bikes for a spin.

Here’s WDAY’s Andrea Hubbell’s fun interview. She did a great job and probably wishes she hadn’t worn black on a warm August day with thousands of people enjoying people powered transportation.

Gary and Steve from Denver are visiting North Dakota for the first time. They loved Streets Alive and our downtown. Breakfast at Atomic Coffee, lunch at JL Beers to try a Stones Throw!

George bikes over 2,000 miles a year, he’s already at 1,675 this year. Along with biking, he’s fired up for a Bison win over Kansas State to

Bison students coming back from riding the new bike lanes up to campus. It took them 7 minutes each way.

Bike bus was a big hit with four people pedaling!

Pole vaulting was a big hit. There were several running and vaulting away

Patricia and Roberto biked 8 miles to see and ride the B-cycles. They also bike to work for fun and health. Patricia is CEO of Community Health and does a wonderful job!

Thanks to “People for Bikes” and B-cycle for coming to Streets Alive! Morgan, Jarod, Tyler, and Alex are all wonderful and have fun promoting active living. They also enjoyed seeing and getting a taste for downtown the night before from the roof of Ho Do and later a JL burger
