Bruins Show Up Strong At Sandbag Central With 90,000 Bags!

Thanks to the Fargo South Bruins and all the other volunteers Monday that produced 98,000 bags. The Bruins kicked out the vast majority of those, 90,000 by the end of their shift at 2 p.m. THANK YOU!

If you’re interested in working with a lot of great volunteers, the best time to come is 3 – 7 p.m. as it takes about 72 people to keep one spider going at full bore. That’s 7,000 bags an hour!

Sandbag Central will be open Tuesday and Wednesday and then go into stand-by mode while sandbags are being deployed on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

If you would like to help, you can get in on the fun by checking and call 476-4000 to join in.

I had the chance to stack pallets for these great young women Bruins yesterday. They were an incredible team and had fun while not spilling hardly a granule of sand! Thanks Jessica (on left) and crew!

Here’s another team of Bruins getting ready for another run after lunch. Some are dancing to get ready to go! Thank you all for your great effort!

If you would like to help, you can get in on the fun, swing by Sandbag Central anytime between 3 and 7 today or Wednesday. You can see where volunteers are most needed here and call 476-4000 to join in.
