Free Pizza For Strong Towns Presentation Today

Thanks to Mike Hahn and the Downtown Community Partnership for sponsoring Charles Marohn of Strong Towns presentation today at 11:30 at the Fargo Theatre.  It’s not only free, there’s also pizza for attendees!

Mr. Marohn is a nationally acclaimed expert in helping cities with comparative analysis to show us the money and where we get the best bang for our public dollar.  He’ll put the numbers together to prove how and where we grow matters and how Fargo can flourish by focusing on quality growth with a strong core while avoiding sprawl.

The Downtown Community Partnership invites you to a Curbside Chat featuring Charles Marohn, (PE) (AICP) with Strong Towns on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 11:30 pm to 1:00 pm at the Fargo Theatre (314 Broadway N).  The Curbside Chat is a candid conversation about the future of America’s cities, downtowns and neighborhoods. Mr. Marohn will provide insight and facilitate discussion on the following questions:

1  – Why are cities short of resources despite decades of robust growth?

2  – Why do cities struggle at the local level just to maintain our basic infrastructure?

3  – What do we do now with the worldwide economy changing so dramatically?

Pizza and grinders will be available provided by Spicy Pie.

Unable to make the lunch time presentation?  A repeat presentation will be held from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm in the Fargo City Commission Room.  Beverages and treats will be available.
