Thanks to Dr. Roy (Indiana Jones) Hammerling for a fantastic kick-off for the speakers forum as we work together to find Fargo’s way to the good life. Â Thanks also to a strong group of citizen designers of the future that came to participate. Â We had a diverse group of students, teachers, gardeners, new Americans, business owners and more that are ready to help form Fargo’s future.
We want to hear from you. Â You can share your ideas on go2030′s Townhall online mind mixer site here.
One thing I took away from Roys presentation is this: Â There are many things we think we want or need that may actually get in the way of our search for the good life and that caring for one another is one important way to clear the path.
Roys presentation was broadcast live and will be available on video on demand at go2030.net either today or Monday. We’ll also post the schedule for replay on cable access channel 12.
Here’s the line-up for the speakers forum. Â They have their work cut out for them to top Dr. Hammerlings fun and thought provoking event.
Next up is Jack Becker founder of Forecast Public Art in Minneapolis. Â Jack is a dynamic speaker who has also served as a public art consultant since 1994, helping connect the ideas and energies of artists with the needs of communities. Â In 2007 he received the Public Art Award of Excellence from Americans for the Arts for his contributions to the field.
Here’s a neat little article about that prestigious award: Â http://www.bridgelandnews.org/1949
