This recent good Forbes rating and comparison to Hawaii isn’t the first,  In 2008 the AARP came to visit and after a panel discussion in Fargo ranked us along with Honolulu as a top 5 healthiest city to retire:
Here we go again, Fargo’s topping the lists. Interesting and not at all surprising to me that volunteering and walking and biking trails are key factors.

Immortalised in the 1996 Oscar winning Coen Brothers movie as a sleepy, snow covered city, Fargo (average annual snowfall 41 inches) was joined by other notoriously snowy locations.
